Botanica Fermented Holy Basil


Botanica Fermented Holy Basil is prepared using an ancient symbiosis of beneficial yeast and bacteria that provides Ocimumoside and the other significant phytocompounds found in Holy Basil in their bioavailable forms. Additionally during this fermentation process new bioavailable beneficial organic acids, enzymes, B vitamins and micronutrients are created. Together, the bioavailable phytocompounds from the Holy Basil and the newly created nutrients provide the body with an effective synergy of nutrients that may reduce mood swings and may alleviate mild depression while at the same this safe living whole food will support a healthy intestinal tract.

  • ½ cup (125 mL) filtered water
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) lime juice
  • 4 tsp (20 mL) Botanica Fermented Holy Basil 
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) raw honey, optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Naturally carbonated water
  • Cucumber, lime slices and basil, for garnish



  • 1. In a high-speed blender combine cucumber, water, lime juice and fermented holy basil and whirl until smooth and creamy.
  • 2. Add honey to taste, if you wish.
  • 3. Pour into a tall boy glass with ice.
  • 4. Top up with carbonated water, garnish and serve.

Fermented Holy Basil, 1.2% organic acids (Ocimum Tenuiflorum Leaves)
