Organika Feverfew Extract
Although the name feverfew is derived from a Latin word meaning "fever reducer", today feverfew helps to reduce the severity of migraine headaches and the associated nausea and vomiting when taken as a prophylactic. Incorporated into European folk medicine for centuries, feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium L.) is native to southeastern Europe and is part of the sunflower family. The substance, parthenolide, in feverfew is known to help relieve spasms in smooth muscle tissue. Organika®'s Feverfew Capsules contains 125 mg of Tanacetum parthenium L. with a potency of 0.2% Parthenolides.
Links between migraines and the following triggers have been identified: alcohol, skipping meals, fluctuations in hormones, loud noises, stress, caffeine, smoking or exposure to smoke. The warning signs of an oncoming migraine include; nausea, cravings for sweets or an aura, meaning a temporary blind spot, stars or lines in your vision. These signs lead to throbbing pain on one or all sides of the head, with the majority of pain focused on the sides of the forehead.
