This product is a staple for me

I love these cacao nibs. I literally don't go a day without them. I have a protein smoothie for breakfast every day and I always add 1/2 to 1 Tbsp of these in.

They are very nutritious. And they taste wonderful mixed into other things. I do have to admit to being a bit of a chocoholic. These are all natural and organic as I wanted. They are unsweetened, which is great for me, but that also means they do not taste great on their own, but are still very tasty mixed into other things.

I will definitely be back for more as these are now a daily staple for me. Also I am happy with the value for the price. The bag is quite large, and even at 1 Tbsp a day, it will last me quite a long time.

interesting little things

I had no idea what to expect when I ordered this product, but I'm a sucker for super foods high in fiber and anti-oxidants so thought I would give it a try. Let me start off with, when they say "raw with no added flavors or sweeteners" they mean it, I don't find them nearly as bitter now as I did the first time I popped a little piece into my mouth, but holy that first time it was not what I was expecting when I looked at what I thought were little pieces of chocolatey heaven.

I don't know about adding them to trail mix because the bag the pieces I got in my bag were extremely small.. maybe trail mix for squirrels or people with really tiny hands... or maybe my pieces were broken. When I think big enough for trail mix, I think raisin or half peanut size, these are much much smaller.

I add a teaspoon or so to my smoothie in the morning because I'm one of those weird people who like chewy smoothies or at least crunchy bits to make it feel like I'm eating. I use a nutri-ninja blender and it doesn't quite puree all the pieces (not sure what a vitamix would do to them, I'm not rich enough for one of those). I haven't put them on anything else but may try throwing them into a sweet potato brownie recipe instead of adding the chocolate chips the recipe calls for.

I'll probably buy another bag when I get through this one but with a tablespoon at a time it's going to last me a while.
