Vitamin B3 comes in two different forms; niacin and niacinamide. Both of these possess the same vitamin activity, but sometimes, niacinamide is preferred due to a reaction to niacin that many people experience. The reaction is called a "niacin flush" and causes the skin to temporarily become red, or feel warm and tingly. Niacinide also contains more triglyceride and cholesterol lowering properties. However, unlike niacin, niacinamide is not recommended for problems of the circulatory system.

Niacin is essential for metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. It has a significant effect on blood cholesterol levels when taken in large amounts, and it is believed to be able to prevent cholesterol in the liver from secreting into the circulatory system. Excellent for my Long Covid

I take three of these to induce the flush and it's been treating my Long Covid very well. I didn't realize how much it was doing for me until I ran out and my symptoms started to decline. I got the 500mg version too (same brand) but I can't figure out why that one didn't make me flush, especially since it was almost double the dose I was taking with the 3 100mg tablets. Maybe it needs to build up more, like some comments are suggesting. I'll hold off from reviewing that one until I know more since it's only been one day on the 500mg tablets. But I'm happy I have another bottle of the 100mg on the way! This stuff really is amazing. It's so frustrating that I can't find it in stores: I'm so grateful I can find it here on Vitasave!

B3 at 100mg

I believe without proof that adults can benefit from about 300 mg of B3 daily. Split each pill into two 50 mg parts if you are bothered by flushing. 50 mg causes only minor flushing, if any.
