Natural Factors Echinamide Anti-Viral is a liquid herbal tincture that combines organic echinacea with lomatium, astragalus, reishi and licorice. Each 1 mL provides 69 mg of echinacea 8:1 extract, 117 mg of lomatium root, 232 mg of astragalus root, 97 mg of reishi mushroom and 40 mg of licorice root. Used in Herbal Medicine to help fight off infections, especially of the upper respiratory tract.
What is Echinamide Anti-Viral?
Echinamide is the Natural Factors name for its standardized extract of Echinacea purpurea, made from the tops and roots of certified organic plants grown in Canada. In this tincture it is blended with four other botanicals: Lomatium dissectum root, Astragalus membranaceus root, the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum (reishi) and Glycyrrhiza glabra root.

How to Take
Dosage:
For acute needs, 1 mL every 2–3 hours up to 6 times daily or as directed by a health care practitioner. To avoid digestive upset, take with food. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 6 weeks.
Cautions:

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are taking immunosuppressants, have an immune disorder, an auto-immune disorder, a liver disorder, or a progressive systemic disease such as tuberculosis, collagenosis, or multiple sclerosis. Rare cases of severe allergic reaction have been known to occur; use caution if you are allergic to plants of the daisy family. Dizziness, irritated skin, rash, nausea, and diarrhea have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use. Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, a kidney or cardiovascular disorder, or if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives, or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. Keep out of the reach of children.
