Lecithin is a popular supplement, but there are very few sources of non-soy based lecithin as it is typically sourced from soy. Most soy sources are from genetically modified (GM) crops, where as presently, there are no genetically modified crops of sunflowers.

NOW Sunflower Lecithin has Phosphatidyl Choline, the most abundant phospholipid in the cell membrane. Although phosphatidylcholine phospholipids are present in almost all cells within the body, the highest concentrations may be found in the brain, heart, liver, and kidneys. NOW Sunflower Lecithin also naturally abounds in Phosphatidyl Inositol, Phosphatidyl Ethanolamine, and essential fatty acids. Lecithin in the diet aids in emulsifying fats, enabling them to be dispersed in water; and as a choline-containing phospholipid, its choline is easily absorbed and utilized by the body. NOW Sunflower Lecithin Liquid is Non-GMO and Soy-Free and can be taken directly, or added to foods, beverages, and health shakes.

Excellent

I put a teaspoon of this lecithin in my microwaveable KD for nutrition and into my mashed potatoes. It has good flavor and it is nutritious. I love it! It can also be used to grease a baking sheet apparently!

Good product

Consistency of Glue

This is not even close to being liquid. It's thicker than corn syrup, and could probably be used as a glue. I physically can't swallow this on it's own (I tried, gagged, and had to spit it out), and when I put it in anything cold or room temp, it doesn't dissolve. I tried to pour some down my sink and now it's stuck everywhere. I'm going to have to use something stronger than hot soapy water to take it off. I am baffled as to how people are using this. Would definitely return if I could.
